TSUTAYAに延滞金をお支払いしたよ！ / I paid arrears on my rent DVDs

この間、DVDを三本借りました！

全部面白かったです！

I rented three DVDs " Primal Fear", " 12 Monkeys" and " Snatch".

All of these are good movies !!

先週の土曜日が返却期限だったんですが、返すのを忘れてしまい、それに加えて日曜日の早朝は野球だったものですから、開店前に彼女に返却をお願いしました。

I had to return them back last saturday, but I forgot. And I was going to go playing baseball early in the morning on sunday. so I asked may girl friend for returning them back to shop before open.

ところがどっこい、彼女が店舗を間違えて返却してしまい（僕がちゃんと伝えなかったのがいけない）、先日9日に自宅にFAXが届きました。

But, she had returned different shop (it was my mistake that I didn't tell the exact shop), and then FAX was sent by the shop on Tuesday.

以下、文面概略

『先日お貸し出しさせていただいたDVD3点なのですが、○○店の商品を□□店にご返却されいるとの連絡が、□□店よりございました。

つきましては、□□店へ引き取りに行っていただき、○○店へご返却頂ますようお願い致します。』

"We have recieved the information that you'd returned back three DVDs to defferent shop from shop you returned back. So, you should take them at the shop and bring them to our shop. "

それを昨日、取りに行って返却した時にきちんと延滞金4日分4000円弱支払って来ました！

I did it yesterday. and I paid the arrears, about 4000 yen, at the correct shop.

みなさんも気をつけてください！

文面を見てお分かりになるように、店舗間での連携（？）はありません。

自分で間違えて持っていったんだから、自分で回収して元に戻しましょうってことですね。

当然延滞金もかかります。もっと早く連絡くれればよかったのに…、ッて思ったけど、レンタルカードの登録情報にはなぜか自宅の電話番号しか入ってなかった。

僕が悪いね。仕方ないね。一応、向こうに少しのスキでもアレばつけ込んでやろうと思っていろいろ探ったけど、完全に僕が悪かったよ。

今後こういうことがないようには気をつけるけどちゃんと携帯電話番号登録しておいたよ。

You know that there is no link between shops (although they are affiliated shop). You should take them back and bring there.

Ofcourse, you should pay arrears.

I make sure this never happens. You had better to register your mobile-phone number.

みんなも気をつけてねいつでも取れる電話番号を登録しておくように。

ちなみに延滞金は、DVDの場合1本1日300円(税抜)だったよ。参考にしてね。

Arrears is 300 yen for a DVD per a day (at TSUTAYA).

こういうことが二度とありませんように。

今回の反省点

reflection point of this case.

1. 借りたものは自分の手で返す。 / I have to return back myself.

　人に頼んでどっか行っても僕の責任。

My responsibility.

2. 万一の場合の緊急の連絡があるかもしれないので、なるべくいつでも取れる携帯電話番号を登録しておく。/ I have to register my mobile-phone number

　このご時世、家の電話なんて殆ど使わないよ、なんてお宅もあるのではないでしょうか。過去に自宅の電話番号で登録してる場合は変更手続きしたほうがいいかもね。

　Maybe, there are people who don't use the phone at the house. If you regster your home-phone number, You had better to register your mobile-phone's.

今度からは気をつけます。
